What we collect, why, and how to leave

Last updated: April 27, 2026

This is the privacy notice for humansaremyth.com, a pre-launch waitlist site for the story-driven game Humans Are Myth, operated by NaN Logic LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). Right now this site does one thing: it lets you put your email on a waitlist so we can tell you when the chronicle opens.

We will treat your email like a friend would treat a piece of paper with another friend’s address on it: no copies, no sharing, used once for what you handed it over for.

1. Who we are

NaN Logic LLC is a small US company headquartered in Illinois. Mailing address:

NaN Logic LLC
Attn: Privacy
8840 Mason Ave
Morton Grove, IL 60053
United States

2. What we collect

From you, when you join the waitlist:

  • Email address. Whatever you type into the waitlist form.
  • Submission timestamp and the IP address of the request, recorded by our hosting provider for spam-defense and basic security.

Automatically, from your visit (server-level only):

  • Standard request logs (IP, user-agent, page requested, timestamp) generated by our host (Vercel) for the duration of their normal log-retention window. We do not enrich or re-aggregate these.

We do not use analytics scripts, ad pixels, session-replay tools, or fingerprinting. We do not have a Facebook pixel, a Google Analytics tag, or anything similar.

3. Why we collect it

  • To email you when the chronicle opens, and occasionally to send you a chronicle entry while you wait.
  • To defend the form against bots and spam (the IP and timestamp).
  • To keep the site online and identify abuse (the standard request logs).

That’s the entire list. We don’t profile you. We don’t sell or rent your email. We don’t use it to train any AI model.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of vendors. Each one receives only the data it needs to do its job, and only because we cannot do that job ourselves:

  • Vercel (hosting) — serves the site and stores the standard request logs above.
  • Resend (email delivery) — when we send you launch news, your email passes through Resend’s servers so the message reaches your inbox.

We do not sell your data, share it for ads, or hand it to data brokers. The only other times we would disclose anything are (a) if we are legally required to (subpoena, court order), or (b) to defend the chronicle against fraud or abuse.

5. How long we keep it

  • Your email: until you ask us to remove it, or for two years from your last interaction with us — whichever comes first.
  • Form submission IP + timestamp: 90 days, then deleted.
  • Vercel request logs: per Vercel’s standard retention (typically 30 days).

6. Cookies & tracking

This site sets no tracking cookies. Vercel may set one routing cookie classified as strictly necessary. It carries no identifier, and we don’t use it for analytics or advertising.

We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. There is nothing for them to opt out of: we don’t track.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data. You may also have the right to object to processing or to withdraw consent at any time. These rights exist under, among others, the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

To exercise any of them, write to HRM@nanlogic.com. We’ll respond within 30 days. There is no charge.

The fastest way to remove yourself from the waitlist is to reply UNSUBSCRIBE to any email we send. We will remove you within seven days.

8. Children

The chronicle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, write to HRM@nanlogic.com and we will delete the entry.

9. International transfers

Our servers and vendors (Vercel, Resend) are based in the United States. If you visit from outside the US, your data travels to the US for processing. By submitting the waitlist form you consent to that transfer. For EU/UK residents, our processors rely on Standard Contractual Clauses for the transfer.

10. Changes to this notice

The chronicle is in pre-launch. As the game opens up — accounts, gameplay, payment — this notice will need to grow with it. When we update it we will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, email everyone on the waitlist before the change takes effect.

11. Contact

Questions, requests, or complaints — write to HRM@nanlogic.com. A real human will read it.
